Located in the second floor of the art complex where SferaBuilding consist of six sections of five floors, the exhibition space, SferaExhibition is a cultural platform for architecture, design and art in any medium.

(Fri) December 16, 2011 – (Sun) January 29, 2012
Opening Party: (Sat) January 7, 2012 18:00-20:00
Venue: Sfera Exhibitions (2F Sfera Building)
The final Sfera exhibit of the year and first of 2012 will be “an air of quality”. Fuku Fukumoto is based in Kyoto, but her works are appreciated throughout Japan and beyond; with presentations in Belgium and the U.S. This is the first time her works have been on exhibit at Sfera.
Working in porcelain, Fukumoto’s pieces are delicate, yet have a strong allure. They are objects, but do not end there – they connect with and shift the quality of the surrounding air.
“I find myself more interested in the air, feel and atmosphere that envelops a composition, rather than in the ceramic pieces themselves. I work to shape figures that leave only the impression of exquisite quality.”
Experience the essence behind Fukumoto’s words.
An opening party will be held on Saturday January 7. We hope to see you there.
